On June 15, HXIT successfully held its themed green market activity “Fulfill Wishes, Pack Love” at the campus basketball court. As one of the 2026 university-level special programs under the national “Beautiful China · Youth Action” initiative, the event integrated idle resource recycling, public welfare assistance and ecological practice. It aims to guide students to adopt a green and low-carbon lifestyle and cultivate a spirit of dedication and public welfare.

The preparation work commenced in early June. Jointly with HXITs eight schools, the HXIT Youth Volunteer Association set up a special working group and arranged volunteer service stations in the campus’s one-stop student communities. Adopting a four-channel working mechanism including online questionnaires, offline field visits, dormitory on-site registration and public welfare platform docking, the team accurately collected supplies and wishes, and finally matched and formed a total of 248 “love packages”.

The activity attracted more than 1,000 participants , with over 3,000 idle items collected, including books, stationery, sports goods, daily necessities and clothing. During the event, 230 love packages were delivered to students , and 18 wish packages were sent to students of Zhangjiasi Primary School in Gansu Province to support children’s learning development. Remaining learning supplies will be used in HXIT’s summer public welfare practice at local after-school care classes, while surplus clothing will be donated through official volunteer organizations, realizing effective resource recycling and continuous public welfare transmission.

The activity received wide recognition among teachers and students. Participants stated that the campaign maximized the value of idle resources, built a warm cross-grade bridge of kindness, and enabled young people to truly understand the significance of youth public welfare. Pan Jing, Secretary of the HXIT Youth League Committee, said that the green market serves as an important exploration for the HXIT to enrich volunteer service scenarios and strengthen practical education. In the next stage, HXIT will further improve the “green public welfare + volunteer service” education model, deeply integrate low-carbon concepts, public welfare assistance and labor practice, and guide students to practice green development values and demonstrate youthful responsibility through concrete actions.
